Elmery was selected as one of four Finnish winners in Tech Nordic Advocates’ London Tech Week pitch competition, held at the British Embassy in Helsinki. The recognition gave Elmery the opportunity to present its technology to an international investor and scaleup network connected to London Tech Week and the London Stock Exchange.

Tech Nordic Advocates brought together 16 Finnish startups at the British Embassy in Helsinki for a pitch competition focused on companies ready for international growth and UK market opportunities. From this group, four companies, including Elmery, were selected to represent Finland and invited to pitch to London, UK and international investors at the London Stock Exchange during London Tech Week.

Similar competitions were also held in Denmark, Sweden and Norway, with four winners from each country selected for the London programme. Together, the Nordic winners represented a strong group of high-potential companies building solutions for international markets.

For Elmery, the recognition was already highly valuable. The Helsinki event created meaningful conversations with investors, partners and ecosystem leaders, and gave us the opportunity to present our work to an audience focused on growth, capital and international expansion.

Elmery’s technology addresses a clear industrial need: how to recover valuable metals and remove impurities from complex liquid streams more selectively, using electricity instead of adding chemicals. Our patented pulsed electrochemical method is designed to integrate into existing hydrometallurgical and refining processes, helping industrial operators improve recovery, reduce waste and create more value from streams that are often treated as a cost.

Although Elmery was selected for the London Stock Exchange pitch event, we were not able to attend the main event in London. Even so, being selected as one of the Finnish winners was an important milestone and a strong signal of international interest in cleaner, more precise metal recovery.
